PDF utilities should be judged by the files they produce. Stirling PDF offers many document operations, but a successful download does not mean text, forms, signatures, or page order survived.
Use a test pack: a scanned document, a searchable PDF, a form, a rotated page, and a password-protected file you own. Split, merge, compress, and OCR as needed, then reopen the outputs in a second viewer. Check text selection, layout, page count, and file size. For sensitive documents, determine whether your Stirling PDF instance is self-hosted and who can access temporary files, logs, and backups.
Measure processing time at realistic sizes and test a failed upload. Never submit confidential files to an untrusted instance. If OCR is the reason for switching, evaluate recognition errors in the languages and scan quality you actually use.
