Send a few test notifications through Gotify from the systems that will use it. Include a routine message, a critical alert, and a burst of duplicates. Check delivery on the target phone and browser, notification priority, authentication, and whether a missed alert remains visible.
Gotify can deliver messages, but it does not replace an on-call process. Document token ownership, rotation, server backup, and a fallback channel if the notification server is down. Choose it when the end-to-end alert path is reliable under failure.
