Set up a small catalogue with variants, a discount, shipping zones, and tax settings. Place a sandbox order, fail a payment deliberately, fulfill part of an order, then refund it. Compare stock counts and customer notifications at every step. The Spree documentation is the reference for the exact release and extensions you plan to use.

Migrate a few real products with images and URL redirects, then export orders and customers from the pilot. Document plugin maintenance and upgrade effort. A fast front-end demo is not evidence that the team can reconcile payments, fulfill orders, and recover from a failed deployment.
